Its bad ass to sync file systems on a regular basis between 2 systems.

I just synced up, file for file, perm for perm, link per link 13.4 gigs in 10 minutes on a remote server.

Each sync after that will be smaller because it'll only sync what is different on a block level. So it doesn't even send the whole damn file!!! I'm even tunneling it via ssh.

I use it to keep my home directories synced on all my ubuntu PC's (at home and at work). good stuff.

i have used it for years. it is the bomb.
