-J.D. Funks Bio -

With his ability to go from Funky Breaks/Funky House/Hard House/Hardstyle/Hard Trance/Hard Techno/Drum N Bass/Rock and Hip-Hop, J.D. Funk has constantly strived to set himself apart from the rest of the pack. With his unique stage performance to his abbility to track select, and ability to mix just about any genere knowen to man, to his turntabilist and beatjuggling menatlity, you can bet that when you see J.D. Funk on the decks, that you can expect the un-expected.

Jeremy D. Barry aka J.D. Funk is no stranger to music born just outside the Emerald City (Seattle), a city known for its art. J.D. began persuing his love for the music at the age of 13 partcipating as a drummer in the school band and then percussion (snare) in high school. Eventually introduced to the world of mobile Djing at the age of 16, and Club Djing at the age of 18. But it wasn't until 1999 when J.D. was introduced to the world of Electronic Music, and introduced to the "art" of Djing.

In 2000 J.D. picked up a set of technics and a pioneer mixer and never looked back. Six months after teaching himself how to mix J.D. started passing out cd's and playing house parties all over Seattle. After his first summer of Djing J.D. decided to hone his skills and take his mixing ability's to the next level. By Spring of 2002 J.D. had decided to start looking for affiliations in the Seattle area picking up Affiliations with Lovetribe, Groundzero, and Klubstompers he was well on his way. Determined to show people he was different than other dj's he set his sights high, and in 2003 he decided to introduce his own unique style of mixing, during a Feburary 2003 show titled Love Shack. J.D. showed the Seattle scene he was ontop of his game and one step ahead of the pack, during his set at Loveshack with an MC next to him J.D. went from Funky Breaks to Hardhouse to Drum N Bass. With his own flare behind the stage, J.D. has worked hard at trying to define a sound that is all his own, complimented by many as being one of the most energetic and hardest working DJs out there.

Now residing in Baltimore Maryland, J.D. has already made a name for himself with numorus shows in Seattle, Headlining in Oregon, playing in California and NYC, playing shows with the likes of Frankie Bones, Dj Irene, Omar Santana, Exodus, Pleasure Head, X-Dream to just name a few.

2005 will be a break out year for J.D. Funk, with his first Cd Release Titled "The 1st Dimension" that he will be releasing on his own in July 2005. "The 1st Dimension" will take you on an action packed music journy like only J.D. Funk can do, you can expect to hear Funky Breaks/Funky House/Hard House/Hard Trance/ Drum N Bass/Rock and Hip-Hop along with an aresnal of orginal tracks produced by J.D. Funk himself.
