Post subject: smoking weed- what is their side effects if you did it for..
PostPosted: Tue May 13, 2003 4:22 pm
I remember when i just entered grade 11 i tried weed with my best friend, we did it a lot during the weeks, i stopped doing it during the summer, than in september of 2001 i started again, this time i did it for another year smoking pot like 4 times a week, all i know now is that now that i quit i think i might have some side effects, apparently i used to trip out alot in school when the lockers would start coming towards me, and the lack of sleep which was like 2 or 3 hours. I would skip out and do it during school hours, and come back high. Now I quit and its been one year since im clean, but why is it that i still crave it, not just that but sometimes, i swear i still find myself tripping out even when i am not on it, why is this happening??? Can anyone answer my question??? I don't think its from lack of sleeping cus i get a good 9 or 10 hour sleep daily, please help , :smokin: 8) :tired:

The tripping out could have been from lack of sleep too, i know i pretty much go crazy when i dont get enough sleep. And like one puff of weed will send me over the top.

Your brain still wants it because you probably had a good time while doing it. Kind of like if you enjoy apples, your body wants the apple, because you enjoy it.

My guess is this. You now percieve things differently then before you ever did a drug. This happens most ofthen after people do acid for the first time. They'll say "ever since I did acid, I see...", but really it's more like "ever since I ate acid, I notice..." Like one girl I knew thought she was going nuts or something because she saw "visuals" of a dark dot moving across her field of vision ever since she started eating acid. Which was really, of course, just a speck of dust on her eye and something everyone sees, she just never noticed it before.

Well put Guest. Using psychedelic drugs always opens doors of the mind you never knew you had.

drugs = a different way to view things..

Not good or bad.. just different..

I remember the day after I did acid for the first time.. The world looked different to me..

Psychedelics can definetly change how you think about things.
I used to be an athiest until I tried mushrooms. It showed me a different way of thinking about things that no person or material experience could have done.

i used to smoke like 24/7, for about 4 1/2 years straight.

then i quit.

now i hate it.

i've smoked once since i quit last september, and i hated it.

i hate being around it.

its weird, cause i had a shitload of fun times when i was high, but that was probably cause i was always high.

Anything drug or otherwise that affects consciousness is not fully understood since consciousness itself is something that we know little about.
And to push it to the next level, we will probably never understand consciousness to any meaningfull extent since consciousness is required to analyze and understand something while we cannot exit our consciousness to examine it.

Random thought.
But does anyone know if smoking seeds ACTUALLY causes sterility in males whether it be temporary or long term??
My brother and his wife were talking about how his heavy pot smoking could have caused him to be sterile. Is that true?
He's one of those lazy potheads that smokes it ALL: stem, seed, and bud.
Just curious.
I mean, I think about all my friends and their lazy pothead ways and the majority of them have knocked up a few women in their day. lol

Pot seeds do NOT cause sterility nor do stems.
Also, pot does not cause males to grow breasts nor does it in any direct way effect the reproductive system except for maybe easing the effects of pms.
Although if someone insists on smoking seeds, they should grind them first or they could put out an eye.

That's what we used to use a coffee grinder for. *memories*
but, yeah, I know my question sounded dumb, but I was just curious. Their discussion seemed kind of odd to me. *shrugs*

I smoked everday for about 6 years and quit cold turkey 4.5 months ago. I don't really see much of a difference ecxept I stress out alot more. I vowed to go 6 months and I think I will pretty much start smoking again after that. Not everyday tho'.

Who knows maybe I won't like it either. That'd be wierd. Cuz I used to REALLY like it.
