Rendezvous Jammy Jam II GOGO Competition $100 cash prize

Rendezvous Jammy Jam is sponsored by the BucklUp Babes and one of the purposes of the event is to cater to the feminine side of electronic music. Featuring female DJs, and a sexy “pajama” theme, we were trying to think of something else we could do to add that sexy touch to the show. We thought a great thing to do would be to have a GOGO competition. None of us could think of it being done before, and there are so many great and new gogo dancer’s out there. What a great way to feature them all and have them battle it out on the dance floor RESPECTABLY for a $100 CASH PRIZE THAT NIGHT!

Here’s how it’s gonna work.

* Get there by 11pm to sign up. We will have someone working near the door with a sign up sheet. Your cost to enter the competition is price of admission. Look for presales as low as $10 AND $15 at http://www.frontgatetickets.com or pay $20 at the door.
* ANYONE CAN ENTER. YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE IN A GOGO CREW. ANY AGE AND ANY SEX MAY ENTER. YEAH BOYS, YOU CAN ENTER TOO. DON’T BE SCARED. THIS COMPETITION IS OPEN TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO SHAKE THEIR GROOVE THANG!
* After we know how many peeps have entered at 11ish, we will figure out how long the time slots are gonna be. Everyone will dance during Reid’s set from 1am – 2:30am. There are 2 gogo boxes we will have on either side of main stage. So 2 dancers at a time. Here is how we will figure it out: For example if 20 dancers enter and we can have 2 dance at a time then there will be 10 timeslots. If Reid’s set is 90 minutes long, than each girl will dance for 9 minutes.
* After signup and figuring out timeslot lengths we will put everyones name in a hat and draw the timeslots. We will then post a list with your name and timeslot somewhere in the club. We will let you know where this list will be when you sign up. Someone will be at the sign up list to hand out your number that you must wear during your dance, so the judges know who you are.
* You will be required to make it to your designated “gogo box” 10 minutes before your timeslot. Someone will be up there with a stopwatch to help the dancers get on and off their “gogo box” without problems.
* You will be judged by Boogie Monster –old school DJ, who has been around long enough to know a good gogo dancer, Loki –DNB DJ and writer/designer for Austin Music Entertainment magazine, and Kristen Claeys –an old school gogo dancer that anyone who has been around for awhile, definitely knows who this gogo diva is! You will be judged on the following on a scale of one to ten by EACH JUDGE SEPARATELY.

CREATIVITY – This is about your costume, how much you put into it. KEEP IN MIND THAT IT’S A PAJAMA PARTY!

DANCING – How good of a dancer are you really? Do you booty dance? Or do you pop and lock and do some liquid??? Or dance with lights?

ENTHUSIASM – Do you look like you are having fun? Is the crowd responding to YOU? Are they cheering for YOU? Are you smiling?

* At the end of Reid’s set we will take all the judges score sheets and add up the totals for each girl. We will announce the winner between 3am – 3:15am and will hand out $100 CASH PRIZE THAT NIGHT TO THE WINNER!
