Ummm don't think so. It's been a while since I've been to Zilker for a picnic/meet up. Last time I was there, I was with my friend Sarah taking snap shots with her.

if we show up and can't get a table the spanking I gave you the other night is nothing compared to what I'll dish out (damn that sounded gay)

I'm on hold now. The last person I talked to made it sound like there are spots that can be reserved and you have to pay a certian amount and some you just have to be out their early to claim it and it's no charge.

UPDATE:
Ok well I'm going to try and go down to the office tomorrow to get a map to see where the reserved and non reserved spots are. It's $60 to reserve a spot. All the Volleyball areas have been reserved for the 5th because there is a Volleyball tournament that weekend. I got to run out the door to class now so as soon as I get off work tomorrow, I'll look into it and have more info.

Ok well I went down to the office today and got a map. He pointed out where the reserved spots are in pink. There are grills available in those areas but there are grills scattered everywhere, you just have to find them. I asked him if he had maybe a rough idea where I could find one but he said he hasn't been to the park in a long time (yet you work for it...). If we got a reserved spot, we would get cover and we could drink alcohol except for the reserved area closest to the pool (the lowest point on the map) and it has to be in cans and covered (koozie would take care of that). But you can only drink in the reserved areas. Everywhere else is illegal. Here is a map of the Park so we can pick a meet up spot.

To be honest I don't think we should reserve a spot. $60 is just ridiculous I think. Besides I believe we can just find a spot anyways. if we can't find a spot with a grill I do have a portable grill I can take along. Only downside is it doesn't have a cover but the cooking area is 18" (210 sq inch).

I may be in San Fran that weekend so you guys have fun if I can't make it!
