No, Dom was trying to suggest that Ron Paul's viewpoints were the opposite of his party (Republican) which isn't the case. Ron Paul's viewpoints are essentially Libertarian.

Republican party = Conservative
Opposite of conservative != Libertarian

You said essentially he's libertarian (which is opposite of Republican) then said Dom was wrong for the same statement??

No, I said that Libertarians are not the opposite of Republicans. They're adjacent. Hence the picture ;-)

It's the events that have happened since 2000 that have allowed a candidate like Ron Paul to stand a chance in the 2008 election. If this was 2000, I don't think people would respond to his message the same way. People are listening now.

I am surprised at how many supporters rally behind Ron Paul, but I'm even more surprised at the number of people who I thought would rally behind him, and for reasons unknown, do not.

FOX news is excluding Ron Paul from the Republican debates days before the first primary. Although Paul has raised $20 million in the fourth quarter, Fox News' reasoning for not inviting Dr. Paul is due to Paul's single digit poll numbers.
