got my hands on this yesterday. first time i've ever used reason and so far its fun but i'm still a little lost as to what i'm actually doing. hopefully a good weekend of fucking around will fix that.

anyone got any good links, tips, tricks, etc?

The sequencer is much better. The Thor is ok, I don't really use it cause I don't like the sounds. But they did a good job with this one. I recomend everyone at least try it out.

I was rewiring it to Ableton 6. Man I hear 7 is so much better. I hate Ableton but I hear they've made it a bit more user friendly. Ever since I got ReCycle, Ableton is useless to me. I was just using it to add samples. Now I just use the Rex.

i love ableton. the additional features 7 has will make my workflow much more streamlined (as least as far as drums go) with the slice-to-midi and rex compatibility.

i haven't been able to take my hands off of reason 4 since i got it though.

my plan is exactly what you were talking about though, ableton as the host with reason rewired through it. i love the way ableton works for sequencing.
