i wouldn't necessarily think I'm a pothead. I smoke yeah but not on a daily basis.

situation that happend was the following:

At ACL I had about half a joint left over from Sunday and stuck it in my change purse for later. I completely forgot about it when the next morning at work I was digging for dollars and out popped the joint. The girl at the desk was really nonchalant about it and was just like "oh you dropped this". Still not grasping what it was that fell out I was like thanks without loooking. I go looking for whatever it was I dropped and flipped out a bit because it was in front of about 5 people I work with. Luckily they're pretty cool and laughed it off.

well rule number one of being a responsible pothead is don't take your stash to work, so yeah that played out like a total stoner move and i can see why you think they think you are one.

its not as bad as having an ounce fall out of your purse but the results are the same. "stash" is a flexible word.
