I updated my browser to the new Internet Explorer 7. Now I cant access GOOGLE.

I took it off and I still cant access GOOGLE. It wont even load on Firefox.

Only this page wont load. Any suggestions why it wont load ?

Go to Windows Updates and download any security updates for IE7 if you haven't already.

does it just say "host not found" or something?

this might be kinda weird, but check your hosts file in your windows/system32 dir and make sure google isn't in it.

then type ping google.com
see if 64.233.167.99 comes up as the addy.


or go here:

I can pull up the search engine that way. Put it wont let me go to gmail or even pull up google just by typing in the name on my address bar.

when i ping it times out, then when it goes thru half of the packets come back.

yah it just times out.

flushed dns cache and still no dice.

I reset the router and now it connects.

was checking other boards and apparently this is a common issue. they suggested to reset my router and success.
