So a buddy and I head out to 6th street last night....
Yeah, i know, mistake number 1
but anyways
we first stopped by Plush, as always but it was pretty slow due to the Sound Republic party
sooo
we just randomly head up 6th street in quest of drinks and people
I got turned away from at least 4 freakin' bars/clubs becuz i was wearing my brand new Tracy McGrady Rockets basketball jersey
If a door guy/bouncer let me slip in, the bartender would tell me, they wont serve me in a jersey
WTF??!
What if it was a Spurs or Longhorn jersey?
I know I've worn my VY Titans jersey out....
So yeah after a few more futile attempts
We went back to Plush
then home
At the end of the night, when i had a good buzz going,
at least I could laugh about
"Sleeve Discrimination"
I mean i can totally understand if i was just wearing a wife-beater.
As a 'puro indio' looking Latin American, i can say i have felt racially 'duped' on occassions, so i did mess with a few door guys sayin it was a race thing huh or maybe they were Rocketes haters they were cool about it, i wasnt THAT hammered

i guess it boils down to

That's total crap. And on 6th St. of all places, I can understand some nicer places might not let you wear jerseys but come on!

maybe they just didnt like you. i've seen people in jersey's at my regular places (blind pig, library, dizzy rooster)

Well, this is certainly much more reasonable.

I'd be pissed if they wouldn't let me in somewhere because of my sleeves, but it's fine if they just don't like me.
