Spout a bunch of hate speak and then call it sarcasm when someone calls you on it.
I don't think "non-flaming" equates with "butch". I find people all along the gender/sexuality spectrum to be interesting, engaging and valid.
Quite honestly, I didn't really see any need to say anything about it at all until you stated that:
"the gays in America are all limp wristed, lisp spouting, flamers. The rest are in denial, the closet, or hating on someone else who is gay."
Do you think being offended by what I construed as a narrow-minded comment is wrong? That statement didn't sound like sarcasm. You get offended at others' statements all the goddamn time, many times at statements made in jest. And then to top it off, tell somebody that you've said nothing homophobic.
Jesus, its hopeless. Um..well sure I guess I could say I hate gay people, infact Alan I hate you. I hope someone bashes you personally tonight.
Most of the gay people I run into in Austin are effeminate. At least the ones active in the "scene." Other people, just see sexuality as a normal part of their life, without some political agenda tied to it. Typically the gay pride movement is a bit on the swishy side. Usually a bit more out there, then most. At least I think so. Which I guess is my right?
I do not see too many straight acting, talking gay people in Austin period. If they are, they are in the minority, or too afraid to own up to their sexuality. Which usually puts them on gay.com or a chat room, or the phone, or somewhere else other than the bar. Some of those people probably end up bashing gays just to fit in here. It seems fashionable in Texas to gay bash. Happens all the time here. Fuck happens every day of the week in America. You are preaching to the fucking Priest at this point. I would say choir, but I don't sing.
