Do you think the area will be declared uninhabitable? Or will people continue trying to live in a place below sea level?

Maybe they'll keep it inhabitable to filter out all the lesser of the species.

Girls Gone Wild would probably call it uninhabitable.

Well, the old parts are above sea level, and survived Katrina quite well.

I have a friend who manages a guesthouse down there, and we went last year for Southern Decadence. For those who don't know, Decadence is basically a huge gay orgy of drinking, drugs and sex. I mainly spent my time drinking eating or sleeping. New Orleans has some of the most badass indigenous cuisine of any city on the planet. There's something fucked up about waking up at 5:30 in the morning and going out drinking tho.

The quarter will always be there tho.

Please define "uninhabitable"... people are willing to live on boats, arctic regions -- fucking Africa. I'm not sure what you're bringing up has any real relevance. Who cares about Louisianna anyway?
