I think the best way to describe Austin's roads, they were built by a drunk man.
Austin was constructed a bajillion times better than Dallas, Houston or San Antonio. San Antonio's roads are like a crack whore after a month long binge... that shit needs to be re-laid.

my grandpa worked for city planning in sa back in the day, i always give him shit about the roads there.

They're banned from the "fast lane". They can use it to pass, but they risk getting pulled over. I think them being allowed on Mopac has something to do with the toll roads opening up.

i know that if the trucks are on that side of town then they can use mopac but as for general travel i think they still have to go I-35.

My favorite fucked up road situation in Austin is Ben White which is also Hwy 290 and Hwy 71.
Also, look up "Cockburn". It's a real road in Austin.

I forget what road it's on but you can pass by South Park and Cypress Hill rd.

i also agree that the roads in saytown suck. badd. that is why i only stay on the NE side of town unless its dark.

Dude, Noelle, WTF?!?! You are not going to hit any traffic from your bed to your office chair, why the fuck bring up such a topic, with work in mind?

Now, as for getting around, gonna be working during rush hour anyway, so you still dont need to worry. No commute for No No..

From where I was house hunting, and once i get all moved out, I will let you know.. Its going to take awhile to get to know the area and how to get around. AZ and California doesnt have all these frontage roads everywhere. Man they confuse the hell out of me and I am going to be putting on alot of extra miles. Luckily for me, my gas goes on the company Amex

Nope!! None of that shit, you actually get off the freeway when your street comes up, not 3 miles down the road and have to flip a bitch to come back down the other side..'

But like anything else, I'll get used to it

We do that because people in Texas suck at driving. If people could actually at their streets, there'd be all sorts of mass cluster fuck disaster going on.

People in Texas are pretty damn retarded when it comes to merging, planning ahead for an exit, and anything involving the little pedal on the right.

I kinda noticed that, I thought it was just me, or the part of town I was in or something..

Well, I will try to bring out the LA driving when I get moved in. "Watch out Austin.. Justin the LA/SD/PHX driver coming through"
