I am a professional jazz trumpet who moved to Austin this past year. I am currently working on a project that bridges jazz and electronic music, everything from hip hop, trip hop, down tempo/ambient...you name it. All of it will be done within a jazz framework mixing acoustic and electronic instruments. I know plenty of jazz musicians, but I'm not tapped into either the electronica or hip hop scene here. What I'm missing is a DJ/programmer, preferrably someone who has a very basic knowledge of jazz.
