in 'needful things' i would wait 16 or 32 bars to add in the beat. just seems like a more mixable tune that way. the change in the snare partway through kinda threw me off. i really like the track though!

for 'the getaway' also wait to add the drums to make the track more mixable. i would take the drums out of the breakdowns for this track. you do a great job of creating an entrancing sense of tension in this one.

i like 'the drive' the most!

good work sean!

THANK YOU!

That's probably some of the best feedback I've gotten, apart from Cinder and Zero.

On "Needful Things" I had a couple of different versions because the snares I went with just didn't sit well but the other snares I tried just didn't seem to fit either so they were kind of the lesser of the evils... I might just try some other layering or some different compression/filtering.

I definitely will add about another 16 or so before I throw in the drums, I've kind of been using that more when I mess around on Acid or Ableton and I like the way the track progresses using that break.

Thanks again, mayne.

not bad.. so far my thoughts...
the getaway - its the same beat straight through, give it some drum change ups and add a subbass. and make that subbass bounce around a little bit
the drive - its too fast, slow it down to around 175-178bpm, and it would flow a lot better. again, theres not much of a subbass. if you can find a real clean 808 that would be perfect, slightly distort and compress the ever living hell out of it :)
needful thigns - i liek this one, it does need a nice ride to compliment the drums though. and brign the bass up just a hair.

big ups

Part of the problem is that I think the transition to Myspace muddied up the bass a bit. The Drive has a pretty deep sub hit after the three filtered ones. And yes, the more I listen to it, the more I want to slow it down some. I'll definitely mess around some more with the tracks based on some of the feedback though. Thanks for the critique!
