So we've be talking about 'best threads'.. .how about this..

When you read a thread, next to the 'reply' button could be a drop down box with a rating of 1 to 5. The user can change his vote when ever he or she wants by reselecting a # as the quality of the thread changes. even if he changes his vote 40 times it'll still only show as 1 vote.

How is the info displayed?

When I view the index for say the GD forum.. next to the thread read views/replys should be a another number called 'thread quality' this number is gotten by way of a count for what people vote.. all votes area added up to create this number..

No, it would turn into a Chad like debacle, with constant cries for a revote.

I think it'd be just easier for there to maybe be a sticky in every forum where people can post their favorite threads or something.

:tired:

if you dont like your vote you could change it at any point in time as long as the thread is in the database... but it would only change the vote score 1 to 5 points..

why do a revote? the votes are picked by the users themselfs. If one person doesnt like the vote score then they just have to accept the fact that the people who have accounts on TBn voted it that way.

fuck yea even better, but instead of an admin or Mod doing it have a script do it for you. Having the human element pick what ever it is, would cause the debate. If I think the thread is bullshit because it was picked by mod XYZ then I might bitch. But I can accept the fact that the thread was tagged by a script that looks at a thread vote which is voted on by all users.

for example.. Lets say you say this thread is fucking outstanding:

http://messageboard.globalbeatz.net/vie ... p?p=298673

I think it was fucking retarded, but you call it an 'all time best thread' I'm gonna bitch.. But if a script picked it, then I wouldn't open my trap.
