actaully dude i dont think you have any idea what things like have soulseek have done for artists. i know plenty of artists who haven chosen to make their music availible on these file swapping networks , and because of it ,they are touring around the world right now. its like -- if weed was just growing wild everyone would go pick it . its not like anyone would give a shit about the little dude tryin to sell buds. the same thing goes for music... theres nothing you can do about it, and for artists to bitch about file swapping just because they arent becoming rich bloated rockstar cunts off doing virtually nothing, is fucking selfish and lame.

and yea abelton is a great program used by the likes of squarepusher (void if you dont know hes on trents label) and prefuse 73 (warp records). i dont use it.- however, ive been considering it for incorporation into my live pa setup.

one thing a snotty noob will always do is attack what piece of software you are using or supposedly using. this shows ignorance. what people dont realize is that even things like fruityloops and hypersonic have a very prominant roll in the industry, and are used by some of the sickest audio-chemists out there.

Fruity Loops is actually used by a SHITLOAD of people... and a good majority of professional(read: they do the shit for a living) producers actually probably have Fruity Loops in case they need it, even if they don't use it...

as far as ableton goes, shit... I use Ableton in my live sets ALL THE TIME. And this guy had better get used to it, cuz it's here to stay. Don't believe me? It started with progressive(regressive, rather) DJ's using ableton... i.e. Sasha

now it's spreading like wild fire, and with VERY good reason... one 4/4 kick, 1 bassline, 1 synth and 1 pella and you could very easily create 8 minutes of very listenable, very LIVE music... not to mention having HARDWARE...

wave of the future. I don't look down on anyone for using ableton... rather, I look to them for new ways of using ableton to better my own productions... and so should Void... obviously.

panning could be nice if it is used for effect, but it's not working here... seems more like it was accidentally left in, or something--which you've said that you intentionally did it... which is fine, I guess...

It's obvious that you know how to arrange(or maybe SAMPLE is a better word?) percussion... you choose good breaks, but I can't really tell much about it because of the panning.. I am focused on my 5.1 surround system bouncing sound off of my walls...

You know, now that you mention it, I HAVE worked in Multi Million Dollar studios and have worked with millon record selling artists and engineers, Ive been doing this shit for 11yrs, Ive been collecting synth and samplers for over 11 yrs...I aint no newbie, but i could give a fuck what some fool who learned some new trick on a software, thinks about. Ya I know who squarepusher is, prefuse, coil, apex tiwn, ect...and squarepusher had been doing his shit way before abelton came out....Abelton just made shit easier. and i dont look down at some one for using abelton or software, i use Pro Tools, and some virtual synths.
