Friction is one of a small number of young talented DJ/Producers that has made a significant impact in Drum & Bass in recent years. A clear indication of this is highlighted by his recent award for 'World Best New Comer of 2002' in the Drum & Bass Arena Poll Awards. In January 2003 Friction made a sharp entry into the on Swift's other label Blade Recordings with 'Burn Down' and 'Turmoil' as well as an outing on Charge with his recently formed group, 'The Militia' alongside Stakka, K-Tee and Skinny. Releases have followed for the group on Hardware, Cargo and Transparent with more to follow. More solo releases are due to follow on Charge and Hardware, with more collaborations lined up as well. With mass hysteria being caused at every venue he plays, Drummatik is proud to present to you, FRICTION!!!

San Francisco drum'n'bass pioneer, UFO! has helped lead the way in planting a genre orginally from the UK here in the US, all the while fashioning a hammering, hard-tech sound from within his DJ collective Phunckateck and putting the San Francisco drum'n'bass scene on the map. UFO! has since moved to to help represent US drum'n'bass, emphasizing the need for DJ's and producers stateside to focus on developing their own sound. UFO's set is not to be missed!

He has been receiving much accalim on the world famous Drum and Bass Arena website (http://www.breakbeat.co.uk), and his tracks are being hammered by the likes of Grooverider, Andy C, DJ Trace, DJ Hype, and Twisted Individual. Be sure to keep an eye out for his forthcoming releases such as "Head Nod" on DJ Hype's Label - True Playaz, as well as other releases such as "Jeopardy Rmx", "Jumpstart", and "Cheesegrater", and his remix of Chris Su's "Bad Girls" which should be out soon on DSCI4.
