So i've read about it on this site, erowid.org and bluelight.nu.. I was very interested in it. I went to my local head shop and picked out Salvia 5x. I figured I'd start small.

First time.

Used a gravity bong.

00 Felt it ramp up.
05 Made me edgy.
10 Started to make me laugh.
11 Started to feel like what felt like electric shocks all over the front of my body
12 Had to sit down.
15 Started to think that my mom and my sister would come out of my bedroom at any point in time, while people dressed up in animal costumes would come out of my kitchen. But really I knew none of this was going to happen. It was just the paranoia
17. Vision took on awhole 2d effect. Everything looked flat but full at the same time. It was like look at something made of stained glass.
20 Started to come down
25 Able to walk again.
30 Just about down. Drank water cause of the taste.
35 Down.

Second time. I did double the amount.

At about the whole 17-20 minute mark is when I lost all sense of balence. I *had* to sit down. After I did sit down, I couldn't figure out if I was sitting or standing.
25 Room wasn't spinning, room was rolling. It felt like I was rolling down a hill head first.
30 Concept of time completely gone.
35 Everything went 2d again but I couldn't focus on anything because everything was spinning so much.
45 Started to come down.

Third time, I had a friend with me this to make sure I didn't lose it.

17-20 Minute mark I decided to sit out side.
25 minute mark. Had that rolling down hill feeling again except this time I felt like I was going to fall of my balcony. My friend was sitting next to me, and I even reached out and grabbed his arm to make sure I really wasn't spinning. But while all this was going on was laughing.
30 very hardcore visuals/tracers.

All was over in about 45 minutes.

The third time, by far I had the most intense visual hallucinations I have *ever* had in a very short amount of time. This stuff is *not* a party drug. Use care with this stuff, and try to have someone around you. I don't think I'll buy this stuff again for a long time.

very cool effects with small amounts mixed with marijuana.

personally, imho, if you're aiming for a religious experience, check out dmt

I have never had salvia last that long. About 10 minutes and it's over.

An important thing to remember when doing salvia, it's best out of a "water pipe" and the active ingrediant in it is burned at a higher degree than your normal recreationally smoked herbs. It's important to hold the lighter over it the entire time you're inhaling. You can't just toke it.

It definately puts you in another world. Not one I'd want to be in, IMO. You have to be in a super comfortable environment for it to be alright. A lot of people freak out on it. :T

Can be religious in that it has a profound effect on your' belief system. I wouldn't inherantly label it as a sacrement but I wouldn't question it if someone labeled it as such.

but it lasted about 10 mins, not 30-45.

i suppose it depends on what people perceive as "religious"; I did sense a higher power, but never thought to associate it with a religion; maybe a philosophy, such as Zen.

Yea, I freak out every time I do it, but that's what it's all about; pushing the envelope to the edge. That's what being a psychonaut is all about.

I think they know better than this. It looks just like any old house plant. Someone could have a dozen plants growing in their flower beds and nobody would know the difference.
Same think with san pedro. It looks just like any column cacti that you can pick up at almost any nursery.
Shit like that would create an explosion in the black market.
Not to mention it's fairly harmless in it's natural form, although it can really be a fright.
Sometimes I think that mother nature is simply fighting back in the war on drugs, but these things have been around for a very long time. I guess she knows what she's doing.

ive only seen one person flip on salvia for more than a few minutes, and he scared me. he kept asking me how to get back... i told him he needed to stop fighting it, wich is the big secret to enjoying salvia. its going to degause your chi wether you like it or not. so you better just sit tight and enjoy the ride. who says taking on the role of a peice of taffy thats been thrown in boiling grease isnt fun??

that's why a sitter is invaluable/essential in some cases. under the influence of the pure salvinorin-a (which is rarer that platinum), a sitter is pretty much mandatory.

Salvia usually won't hit you the first time, it wasn't until like my 5th time before I felt it completely.

For religous experiences----smoke DMT!

i'd have to disagree with that.

although salvinorin is a diterpine like THC, you don't really have to do it several times before it takes effect.

you probably didn't vaporize it enough, or ingest enough. metabolysis of salvinorin is VERY rapid (likewise with DMT)

i know someone who has done salvia multiple times, all different extraction densities, etc, and has never felt more than a slight buzz while everyone else had a full experience.
