Bio:

Raised on equal parts of Kraftwerk, AC/DC, and Farley Jackmaster Funk, mid-west rave legend Tommie Sunshine (aka Tom America) and Chicago native has relocated to New York has rocked the house with regular appearances at the now legendary Tribeca Grand club nights, the Electroclash festival and after-show duty for Bjork on her NY shows. A mix CD and a single on Gigolo Records are also forthcoming.

After six years in Georgia where he ran Satellite Records Atlanta and held down two residencies at Club Sol and Fusion, he was living in Chicago, working as the Promotional Director of Dust Traxx, Inc. and the fourteen record labels that they press and distribute. Tommie also branched out into studio work with collaborators Chris Brann of Wamdue Project, Mark Verbos, and Felix Da Housecat. New York collaborations have included Princess Superstar, DJ Hell and James Murphy (dfa/lcd Soundsystem). The first release on Tommie's label Xylophone Jones Records was released last Spring and is Tommie alongside Chris Brann as Jackass & Mule. This record also had remixes from Adult and Selway. Tommie and Mark Verbos (Binge & Purge) have a full length titled "Wait, It's Fantastic!" on Mental Groove Records in
Switzerland.

As a member of Thee Maddkatt Courtship, Tommie co-produced "Cosmic Pop" for ffrr/London Records and worked with Felix again, this time with Miss Kittin of France as Kitten & Thee Glitz on new tracks for their award winning full-length album on Emperor Norton. The single "Silver Screen (Shower Scene)" continues to dominate club charts around the world a year after release. The duo are now back in the studio again for another album - Thee Courtship Of Devon Dazzle due for release next year.

Tommie is presently working on his first solo album with an all-star cast of characters that include Beans (Anti-Pop Consortium, Warp Records), supermodel Anouck Lepere, Princess Superstar, Peaches, Felix da Housecat, and members of Kill Hannah, Interpol, The Rapture, Scissor Sisters and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Upcoming writing and production collaborations include Traci Lords, Har Mar Superstar and W.I.T.

He has spent most of the year working on remixes for the likes of Pop artists P.O.D., Pink, Kill Hannah and Da Brat as well as underground favorites such as Fischerspooner, Mt. Simms, Junior Senior, Bis, The Faint, Electronicat and dozens of others.

Electronic Rock 'N Roll, Super Pop, Electro-Roller-Boogie-Techno-Disco and lo-fi-dance-pogo is what you can expect from the decks and a full-blown party is what you can expect on the dance floor
