i am in the process of trying to produce a fairly large quantity of my demo. i am curious as to what cd's would be best to use? cost is somewhat of a factor here, however, i also want to make sure i have a cd that is going to LAST whomever may receive it. i don't want the tinyest of scuffs to make it skip. i want something resonable, but of an above average quality...

thanks,
Jamie

I've had very good luck with TDK's 80 Minute music CDs. They seem to read well in most of the cd players i've used them in. But I've found that If I burn my CDs over 10x, the mix will tend to have pops and cracks in it. Burning at 8x seems to work just fine.

Anyone else have problems burning audio over 10x? It could just be my cdrw.

They white? Kinda a greenish yellow on the other side? They work well also. I've found the best place to by blank cds is Kmart, or Walmart. Get a 50 pack for like 30$.

well, if they all sound the same, would you say that maybe one out of the bunch would be more durable than any of the others?

thanks for all the feedback here. keep it comin'!

call me crazy.. but the CDR-Musics do sound better to me then the the data ones.

CDs either CDR, CDRW are subject to wear and tear like anything else. It just depends on how you treat them. ..

Blacks fockin own!! They're more scratch resistant and virtually all CD-ROM drives and CD players read them with no trouble.
