Maybe this has posted before, but the stream is running on 64k and mono? :eek7: I dunno about anyone else, but mono sounds like crap. Is there a reason why its this way?

because most people can't handle a higher bitrate, at least they couldn't a year or so ago when we started streaming.

mono isnt bad. it's the 64kbit that isnt helping.

96 mono usually sounds alot better...

Is there anyway we can do a 128 now? Most people have broadband, or at least ISDN. If not maybe 96 mono...or ever 64 stereo? :D

64kbit stereo would probably be a reduction in quality - the information required in the stream for the stereo positioning (joint stereo) will reduce the amount of actual sound bitrate.
