I don't know why I was thinking about this, but if I had my own place and it caught on fire, my vinyl collection would be compensated for with the proper policy right? Wouldn't it fall under property replacements? (I know shit about insurance)

just get a renter's insurance policy. it's no more than $20 a month and should cover it.

yep.. with USAA i pay i think 15-18 dollars a month and it covers 15000 grand.. +- 5000. sorry i can't remember the exact figure.. you might want to take pictures of your stuff too. I always do just incase
