ever think he is an idiot with money?
money buys lots of things.
it buys a helluva lot during election time.
such as tv ads and votes.
maybe he was tired of baseball so he wanted to run texas.
it got bought for him.
through oil money.
then he wanted the Us.
then it got bought for him.
you dont have to be smart if you have money.
the bush family is fucking rich.

I think an IQ test should be had, which would publicly settle this whole thing :silly: seriously though......I bet him and Quayle kick it hard.

In my lifetime I've never seen a president so openly ridiculed as being obviously un-intelligent.....the entire world cannot be wrong on this one, I have faith-

President George W. Bush: Received a Bachelors Degree from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He served as an F-102 pilot for the Texas Air National Guard. He began his career in the oil and gas business in Midland in 1975 and worked in the energy industry until 1986. He was elected Governor on November 8, 1994, with 53.5 percent of the vote. In a historic re-election victory, he became the first Texas Governor to be elected to consecutive four-year terms on November 3, 1998 winning 68.6 percent of the vote. In 1998 Governor Bush won 49 percent of the Hispanic vote, 27 percent of the African-American vote, 27 percent of Democrats and 65 percent of women. He won more Texas counties, 240 of 254, than any modern Republican other than Richard Nixon in 1972 and is the first Republican gubernatorial candidate to win the heavily Hispanic and Democratic border counties of El Paso, Cameron and Hidalgo. (Someone began circulating a false story about his I.Q. being lower than any other President. If you believed it, you might want to go to URBANLEGENDS.COM and see the truth.)

Bush went AWOL from the Texas Air National Guard for more than a year. At both colleges, he graduated near the bottom of his class. His Dad set him up with family friends (and some members of my family) with the oil business in Midland. He was elected in Texas because most of the backwater counties (especially the ones in West Texas, where he is viewed as a hometown boy) vote straight Republican regardless of who's actually running on that ticket. He may not be the dumbest president we've ever had, but he sure runs everyone a close race. And he may not really be stupid -- but he talks like he is. He's the least articulate person I've ever herad, and clearly doesn't grasp everything. He even has his morning briefs read to him instead of reading them himself.

Graduating near the bottom of the class at Yale and Harvard isnt to shabby.

Considering it is Yale and HArvard. He probably isnt as stupid as he looks and sounds.

So whoever started this thread, cant really judge his "stupidity." Not many of us on this board can say we are accepted to Yale and Harvard's business program.

got a crumble of proof on that one?

i'm not saying it's not possible...obviously it is...but i would venture to guess you have no proof of this at all aside from the facts that you think he's stupid and couldn't get in any other way.

on the other hand, the very real possibility that legacy and/or money got bush into yale and harvard makes the argument that "of course he's smart, he went to really competitive schools that probably none of you would get into" kinda shaky

Here's an article I found that i thought was pretty interesting......its apparent that Bush didnt make very good grades at all....though I definetly believe that grades in a public education does not reflect someone's overall intelligence, for a president it weighs slightly different to me.......though alot stick up for his intelligence in this article, I just dont think his level of thinking and intelligence in a worldly perspective warrants him a respectable position as president of the u.s...........just a little dissapointing to me personally-

My belief so far is that as soon as American politics became corrupt and scandilous, we've had a president only as a represented icon to the public view. like mc Donalds and their icon Ronald Mc Donald. Bush is like Ronald Mc Donald and his cabinet are the chairmen who rrun and operate every thing. If some thing went wrong, they have their icon as a scapegoat to hide behind.

The government is always on top of things no matter what. As I am one who is anti-government, I believe the system we abide by can only be broken by those who created it. Thats why I also believe that when election time comes, sure we vote , but that doesn't mean you'll get the president you voted for elected. So theoretically i assume that the process of electing a president is just a manipulating form of persuading the people that the next president will do 'good' some how.

What we don't know they know...
