Not just my pr0n, but all my videos. Whenever I try to open a video, in any player, my computer chokes and it takes me at least a minute to get the task manager to come up so I can free the cpu from whatever it decides to get stuck on. WTF would cause it? I am totally lost.

unless you formatted and reinstalled since your video card issue I'd say your Windows install is still fucked.

try reinstalling WMP, then get the latest K-lite megacodec pack

yep id try uninstalling all your media players (quicktime, wmp, winamp) then installing fresh

Yes I have reinstalled windows since then and everything runs very smoothly. I've reinstalled WMP already, but I'll go get the K-lite pack next. Would not having the right codec actually choke the system like that?

I don't see anything suspicious in the event viewer. Should I be looking for anything specific?
