then why did you bring up your daddy working on a sub?

also, read up on current events...China has expressed extreme displeasure in North Korea's nuclear weapons programs over the last 2-5 years and is MUCH more interested in trade with the US

because I do know a thing or two about nukes also, even though it's not really relevant;

and yes, I know China doesn't approve of N. Korea's nuke situation, but that doesn't stop N. Korea from becoming a rogue nation; if we have to nuke N. Korea because they strike first, China won't be happy with us (that's all I'm saying)

I think we are more concerned with N. Korea selling its nukes to the highest bidder. That country has used the sale of missles to other nations already to fund its regime. We already caught a ship heading to Yemen loaded with missles from N. Korea. Imagine if that boat was full of nukes.

I don't think your father working on a nuclear sub (he could have been a cook) means you know anything about nukes....Kris' experience and fanatical interest in such topics does.

also, your post about China implied that NK was still under China's protection...it's not....it hasn't been for some time. The Chinese are more interested in the money that they can get from trade w/ the US than protecting a nutball little shit hole of a country.

:roller: cooks don't work at General Dynamics (Groton, CT)

moron

I was pretty much a kid while he was a Lt. Cdr on the USS Michigan, but I learned a lot from him about tridents, tomahawks (with w-80s), and the Mk 48s (torps)

he has the silver insignia of a sub with an atom and a trident missile in the middle

but your dumb ass probably think I looked that up in Jane's Fighting ships, or something

you're such a wannabe name dropping tool...you've given no evidence to support your claims, just "my daddy worked on an ohio class sub"...you weren't specific, you just said "worked" he very well could have been a cook on said sub.

and your statement of China protecting NK shows your complete lack of a grasp on current events.

and when did I say China was protecting N. Korea?

are you high?

a) China doesn't approve of N. Korea's strong-armed stance against the US...I am fully aware of this...

b) China is also N.Korea's neighbor; it goes without saying...if we go in there and fuck them up, China would be concerned about their own safety

see fool....this is where you show your 3rd grade intelligence, I never said your daddy WAS a cook...I said that your statement of "my dad worked on a sub" didn't mean squat, just because someone works on a sub, doesnt mean they know shit about nukes....lots of non-technical people work on subs, the cook was just an example of what he could have been. but no, you took that as me saying your daddy was a cook and got insulted, then tried to flame me

pull your head out of your ass kiddo.

and no, you didn't flat out say China would protect North Korea...you implied it with statements like

"then we retaliate....then what about China"
"but say we do annihilate them....China won't be pleased"

if you paid attention, you'd know that China has been distancing itself from North Korea for the last 3-5 years....this has been one of factors in North Korea becoming more radical in their nuclear programs (they need something now that big red isn't protecting them)

anyway...

I think if Bush really practiced what he preached (especially in his last address), he'd have soldiers in N. Korea to disarm their asses.

uh, they already have nukes... it's a different situation than iraq.

i've heard from numerous people with family in the gulf right now that after iraq some of the ships will be headed north korea's direction... i don't know how legit this is but it seems plausible enough.

i don't think it's too far fetched to see china taking over north korea either... aside from our interests in controlling the region.

yeah, I heard yesterday that troops are being sent over in the N' Korea region; not sure how true that is

I know N. Korea has nukes...exactly why we should disarm them.

we have enough troops in south korea at all times to fend off an invasion until others can arrive... i have an acquantance who is in the DMZ right now... he said there are shots fired almost on a daily basis... things are tense over there... but mainly one side trying to provoke the other... for the past few years
