hey, my name is ghost (d&b producer/ dj). i just moved to houston from LA and i was told the night before i left that houston has no club scene, more specifically no drum&bass scene. if anyone could kindly direct me to the nearest d&b scene, i'd love you forever. so far the only "club" i've seen was noches latinas... which, with all due respect to the latin night life, is NOT my bag at all.

dude i do believe the houston scene died a while back, it went into a few clubs and small warehouse parties. but im not so sure about now. check on houstonbeats.com to see if you can pick any leads up there. but if you ever come to austin, tuesday, wednesday and a few choice places on the weekend play dnb.

if you want to have any chance in finding the 'scene'

1. never introduce yourself as ghost to anyone again.

2. move to Austin

1. I would never introduce my self as ghost again if it weren't my name.
2. I'm not moving to austin because I have a 12 month lease in houston.
3. I get very mixed stories about the "scene" in houston: some say it's dead, some says it's bangin.
4. I was basically asking for reference from people who know what they're talking about and don't have to rip on chicks about their names.
5. The plur emoticon that i'm looking at while i'm typing this is making me need to go to the bathroom.

just alittle tip about this board if you plan on keepin up with it or posting regularly.....don't by any means take any harsh comment to heart. you will probably get alot of em...everyone does though. its nothin personal. the best thing to do would be to arm yourself with some witty comebacks.

well i'm the type who doesn't take comments like that to heart.... i just think it's a pretty desperate attempt for grabbing attention when your only outlet for anger in this life is to get on a message board and reply to completely innocent posts from people you've never met with insults and 2nd grade stabs. i say 2nd grade because that's about where i was in my life when people decided that making fun of my name wasn't worth their while. but whether or not i get silly little boys/girls poking fun at me because of their own self loathing, i am still looking for the dnb scene in houston and i appreciate genuinely the help i have received so far. by the way (when i say 'scene' the image most people get is the "rave" dnb scene which is not at all what i'm into. it's more along the lines of the earlier post about pressure thursdays - btw, thanks, even though i didn't make it out there!).

You need to check out Pressure on August 5th with Myster Mason and Armani Reign. That will be a great show, and I'm not even a DNB head.
