Again, another study that doesn't really say anything other than "possibilities". A fairly weak article, but I figured I'd post it anyways. It talks of a link between cannabis and schizophrenia/depression.

lol don't you just hate that (inconclusiveness) ?

yeah, people get a bit paranoid, while under the influence of cannabis...but schizophrenia?? hahaha

even worse don't you hate it when people present inconclusive research as their argument trying to present it as fact..... it is sad

Correlative studies can never in any instance be fact by nature of the study's setup.

unconvincing...working at a psychiatric hospital for years like I have, I can vouch for the tendency of those with certain mental illnesses (including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depression) to abuse substances...I'd have to see more evidence that marijuana use is the cause and not a symptom

agreed; similarly, i'm skeptical of the "acid will make you crazy/schizophrenic" statements thrown around; it might exacerbate underlying emotional/psychological problems, but i highly doubt it would cause them

i've gone through psych evals, and whatnot...they asked about LSD use once, but never asked into detail about frequency of use or dosages; they probably don't consider it a big factor...and i've participated in a research study for schizophrenia.

Lots of people attempt to self-medicate mental problems with drugs.
