I really dig the mix forum, but I hate diving down into stuff sometimes.. So much info sometimes..

Is there a way to show the top 50 viewed mixes or a top 50 downloaded mixes? Maybe show those in another non-global-postable forum?

Or how about a mix clean up? Is there away to check all the mixes to make sure they are vaild links to a real file?

Could you make it so that if a mix is over X months old and hasn't been downloaded/view it could be taken offline? (unless its a paid account)

I'm not asking to make this boardwise, but maybe a member setting in the preferences?

Could you also make it so you *have* to include a set list with an uploaded mix or it will be removed? None of this "Will Post mix later" crap...That and the mix must be atleast 60 minutes, or it will be removed.

I know you guys are busy, but some of the above would be nice.. =)

or maybe add an option for listeners to mark the mix as a trainwreck mix and if it's marked X number of times it's deleted.

I hate nothing more than dloading something only to hear shitty trainwrecks thru out it

the rating system is so you can get your friends to come click 5 a bunch or you can log out, clear your cookies and click 5, clear your cookies, etc, etc

I'm sorry, But I simply don't agree with all of that.

I am a turntablist. My first mix that I posted on here that anyone actually heard was 35 tracks in 21 minutes. It was so short for the simple fact that it was eclectic music and I wasn't sure if anyone would like it. I couldn't have known that so many people would like it, and it's an awesome mix so I don't want it to be deleted because it is short... afterall there are more tracks in that 21 minutes than on my Junglists full hour mixes... and I always include a tracklist, with the exception of the mix that I am about to upload that is 73 minutes long and has 140 tracks/accapella's on it...

if I type out that tracklist, it would take up an entire page... or you would have to scroll down for 3 minutes trying to figure it out... for this one, you will have to beg for a tracklist.

Half of the tracks on there are whitelabels that you aren't gonna find ANYWHERE... and seeing as how the other half are MY dubs, you aren't gonna find them either... so there is really no reason to trainspot. If u have a question about the track at a certain time, u can ask me and I will tell u.

For me, having my music here is a way for people in another state(an countries in some cases) to hear my music, possibly gain bookings, and for the general stroking of my ego as noone so far has had anything but love for the shit I am bringing to the tables..

also, I play shit that NOONE plays... in fact, in my entire collection of mixes, u might own ONE track that I have mixed into a set...

I am not a unique and beautiful snowflake... I totally agree that in some cases that it needs to be fixed... but not in mine, and I can't rightly have them making an exception for me, so I can deal with it...

I feel you about trainwrecks though... if you are putting a mix out for people to hear, there should be no fuckups on it... point blank.

what are you talking about? anyone who has over 3 mixes posted is a paid member, or they've done something tricky.

the rating system doesn't work like that and never has. vote on a mix, delete all your cookies, then try again. it won't let you.

I am agreeing with this more and more every day. I downloaded two TERRIBLE mixes today.

and alot of times people will post a mix and say something like "this isnt the cleanest or best mix"................that should be a huge red flag right there to delete that shiaaat.

Appoint certain people to certain genres to APPROVE mixes. Id be more than happy to listen to a few new mixes every day.

definitely need to be able sort by genre

sort by popularity (downloads vs. time)

and needs a 'mark for deletion' box or 'trainwreck' box.
