Just a few other comments. I recorded this on two 1200's and a Pioneer DJM500.

everytime i've ever heard you play you always impress me in one way or another. no disappointment here either :-)

this set is really bad ass. there are 2 or 3 tracks that aren't to my pesonal tastes, but over all i thought the track selection was bad ass. everything else technical was completely on point (mixing, progressing, scratching, mixer tricks, etc.). i especially like how you took it a bit darker for a track right before the last track. very nice. my personal favorite chunk of the set was the first 40 minutes.

anyone who's a house lover should check this out.

awesome work dustin. whenever you get these printed up i'd love an official copy.

^^ I'll hunt down your next shipment of Feedback's and light them all on fire!!! :D

Funk, the voice is Cosby I'm pretty sure. It's actually the beginning of the Lance Desardi track. I got bored so I decided to mess around with it.

Forgot to ask, but does anyone here think I should do some mastering work to this? Should I start reproducing them as is? I'd like to touch the sound up some, but I was wondering what you guys thought as far as sound QUALITY goes.

sounded really good to me, but i'm not the best judge. i've heard that you should do slight compression on the whole set before you release it generally speaking, but i'm not sure exactly why (technically) or if you'd necessarily gain anything. i also don't know the specifics of just how much compression should be done.

I was thinking about just normalizing it. *shrugs* I don't know much about these things though.

i take all my mixes to jason jenkins over at Infectious Productions... 512.443.4196 http://www.infectiousproductions.com

he can compress/normalize/etc to get your mix sounding really good

yes i know, ^^ blatant plug for one of my advertisers ^^, but he does a great job and produces all of my mix cds... which i'm way overdue on, damn i need to stop slackin...

You're overdue??? This is my first one since August. I'm the one who's overdue.

But the mix makes up for it methinks. What does everyone else think? :D

*bump* hehe The touched up version will be up VERY soon. Touched up = serious volume adjustments.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. I'm really proud of this mix session.

Hopefully with the amount of these I'll be handing out, I'll finally start to see some money from the DJ thing. :)

Again, thanks SOO much! I'm reallly glad everyone is enjoying this mix as much as I am.

BeerBong - I actually thought about re-recording that J5 set and tacking it onto the end of Bodegas, but I'd rather just keep that sort of thing an element of my live performances for now. Besides, I hate how my scratches sound recorded.

Oh and I took that set off btw. I may try and record a new one to put up, but I doubt it.

As far as doing more stuff like that, I'd like to. I just really don't have the funds to start a new collection so for now I just buy a couple of hip hop records here and there.
