amphetamine and all it's homologues are vastly worthless and disgusting drugs.
this especially includes MDMA.

MDMA, amph, methamph, H, banging powders, etc etc.. all in the same bucket: stuff even I wont touch

i f'cking hate amphs. *rant mode off*

all drama aside : fact of the matter is, alcohol/benzos are FAR more addictive, and even those are rivalled by nicotine.

I thought nicotine was more addictive than alcohol.

it is, and that was my point; maybe I just worded it wrong.

I've had cousins and friends get into that shit (meth), and some kicked it, and some didn't. It's more of a mindset, depending on how deep you dive into the substance, because your mind may or may not be rewired (referring to the dopamine pleasure pathways aformentioned)...again, this depends on how much/how long you indulge in it. I was able to walk away from it with no problem, and I had plenty of it....others aren't so fortunate.

Meth and cocaine are direct agonists of the dopamine system, whereas nicotine isn't (it's part of the acetylcholine system), so the problems you notice with meth are usually behavioral/habitual; yet I've heard many health professionals, and councelors say the same thing: nicotine is more addictive than meth, and even crack.

ibogane is incredible for breaking addictions, too bad its illegal and people have to go out of the country for treatment.

p.s. are you a chemist, i'm currently in school getting my B.S. in chemistry and i'd love to talk to a practicing chemist.

Total agreement. Cigarettes are the ONLY thing I've ever had difficulty dropping, and I still smoke them. Nothing else has ever had that kind of hold on me.

what makes nicotine so tough to drop is that you can go to damn near any store, at any time, and pick up your fix

whats really fucked is i cant get addicted to nicotine. i first smoked when i was 11. since then ive smoked very seldomly. though ive had times where i was just feelin' the cigarrettes for like 2 weeks at a time. then i wouldnt have for 6 or 7 weeks. im still ike this today. i can party all night and smoke , and then not smoke or want to smoke all week long. nicotine addiction is beyond me . allthough i am totally in tune with the indians idea of tobacco use as a good means for grounding . what weird is my mom also is like this, only she smokes even less.

i kind of used the "pain" of getting off meth as motivation. it really didnt lst long, maybe a coupla days... i just drank lots of water and excersized a little bit .. ate a bunch of fruit .

it's not that simple.

chocolate is arguably addicting too, and readily available at any corner store; yet I don't know of many people who eat chocolate everytime they takes a break on work, get in their car, finish a meal...you get the idea.

wow... there are people who do this... i have a friend that eats a piece of chocolate before work, during lunch, and after work.... and the only reason they dont eat it during the work day is because theyd blow up humongous... there are people with chocolate addictions out there, and there are people who "fiend" for it

hmm, so if cigarettes were somehow fattening, less people would be inclined to frequently smoke at work? That's inconceivable...

honestly, I don't think legality has anything to do with it; schedule tobacco, and many people will take the market underground, like methamphetamine. It's quite obvious.

legality has a lot to do with it... the buzz i get from nicotine is not large enough that id pay an inflated black market price for it...

and a lot of people with chocolate addictions do blow up fat... my friend just recognizes her problem and doesnt allow it to progress

I dont understand the debate that Meth isn't so bad because there are aother addictive things out there.

but anyway..

Explain to me how using Meth in any amount makes you a winner and I may change my opinion that it makes you a loser. Chances are slim to none..but I am interested in hearing some ways that being a methhead makes you a winner.

you can not put a pothead in the same catagory as a crackhead (yes, tweakers are crackheads). There is no comparison.

i used to blow dank so much the smell of skunk spray is candy. keep is clean, keep is green.... there's nothing clean about tweak or twackers.. haha twackers.

if you use it, please just keep you distance from you, you people are very disgusting. but i do understand crackheads do contribute to our american economy, so just stick to your path and away from mine... directly. :plur:

Is anyone else noticing a parallel between !'s (formerly 13) views on the conspiracy and his meth use?

yeah, i tried a little a few weeks back for like a 3 day period before one of my tests just to see exactly how it parallels with adderall. i think ill stick to adderall for studying, but i dont even know if i even plan to go that route anymore. after all, i cant stand the fact that it's hard to eat while on it.

one big plus about adderall, is that it can turn a 12 hour study session into 4-5 tops. fantastic for desperate measures.

As a person who was diagnosed with ADHD as a child, I've found that any kind of amphetamine does to me what pot does to most. I'm calm, focused, and can complete one task before moving on to the next.

I've never felt wired, jittery, or tweeked out from speed and other such things, nor do I have a problem eating or getting to sleep.

That's why speed and all that is dumb to me. 'Cause it's like taking the meds I used to take.

hmm, amps for studying... yeah sure :-?

http://messageboard.globalbeatz.net/vie ... ics#345848

nootropics > adderall, ritalin, and other amp derivatives, for addressing attention issues and cognition (unless, of course, the real issue is seeking a buzz)
