The time has come i cut this bullshit facade
this rambling picture show called life
this daily celebration of halloween
where faces say holy while thoughts
linger on hard cocks and fallen prom queen's dresses
where Adam meets Eve
him thinking of tits
her of the snake
a popper fueled Romeo on all fours
Juliet fist deep in his classics
Prince charming copping feels and slipping fingers before a fated kiss
that beauty lay sleeping waking to wetness and bliss
all animals like us
thinking of hands pressing thighs to shoulders
mouths left to linger on lips, nipples, cocks, cunts
and this thing we hate that makes us so human
that constant want for nothing more then
a warm body between sheets, a shower, sleep, a goodbye
so sick of this mess turned lie
Only saying after we collapse from carnal pleasures
that we make love don't fuck
I
Love
You

Yes the reference was to Charles Bukowski. It was a piece that was composed for reading and i had hoped publishing. Unfortunatly it hasn't fallen onto the right eyes. Thank you for the kind words. I have been writing quite a few poems in the past year due to a Professor that has become somewhat my mentor. She had suggested reading some of Bukowski's work which was the original inspiration for the piece. As was a poem entitled Reading Pornagraphy in Old Age which i cannot seem to remember the author of. Once again thank you if you enjoyed the piece.
