Nothing major, but there's been a little shift in the moderation of this forum. Mr. Noctum has alot of stuff going on in his life (He's Married, Has a Kid and Just won the Lottery) so I have taken over his responsabilities. Nothing changes and I will do my best to increase the value that the forum brings. If you have any problems, feel free to PM me and I'll address them just as soon as I can.

Now lets get down too it! Who's been working on music lately?! Drop your status here. (I actually lost a bunch of WIP's due to a virus... =/ Trey has backup's though... So we'll be on point again in no time!)

Uh oh....new moderator :ackbar2: wassup

I havent been doing shit lately...in fact I havent even had my comp. or decks hooked up in over a month.....But I just moved into a house with a spare bedroom as complete and utter studio use only...my first one, and its about time!...a dedicated room.....been acoustically treating that bitch so the whole thing is almost completely treated with auraplex, built a huge wrap around desk for work enviroment so the work space will be completely surrounded by gear, windows completely sealed, doors done up, closet converted into a vocal booth, drum kit is getting Isolated in a corner of the room....man im excited, as if you can't tell :nerdl: baby steps though as the money comes in, the shit dont come cheap....constantly building up ya know-

Did Noctum seriously just win the lottery?

I've been doing a lot of work, but not finishing them. I can't seem to find the flow of my tracks.

The newest little thing I played around with is http://messageboard.globalbeatz.net/vie ... hp?t=21131

It's kinda chillout electro style....

Okay... I really really dig what you have started here... I would -definitly- urge you push forward with this... I already hear a track in my head just based off what you have... Don't let this one fall by the wayside... Add some tonal variation in there... Keep with it! I wanna hear the finished products!

Also... I'm assuming your using something like Cubase or Logic to produce this... Your synths and drums sound VST Style (Very Clean and Percise.) If this is the case, can you post what VST's were used to everybody can apply the Plugin with the sound?

Keep up the good work! =)

actually..... this is recorded on the fly with fruityloops... all original, but still... i sat for hours working with the eqs and whatnot so I could get a more organic-type feel...

I use Ableton 2.0 with most of the stuff I take and work extensively with...

I just get stuck when it comes to arrangement.. I never finish anything... It's the worst.

Mmmmmm Ableton... I love that program... Great piece of software... Puts Acid to Shame...

So were the synths produced -in- Fruity Loops? I haven't used that program in quite some time so I'm not sure what the current releases allow.

The synth was a fruity sample that I ran through eqs, 2 forms of delay, and I used a chorus effect with a flanger.. Nothing too flashy. Most of the other tones in it aren't actually synths. I doubled a few of the effects and put delays and reverb on one of them. I brought out the lower end with the eq on one and it just sounded like there were other synths or keys sounding. Let them play off each other.

And yes..... Ableton is great...
