Super sweet, some cheesy parts but definitely a family flick. It was a really sweet story...

i agree... i was on vacation all last week so i saw A LOT of movies... i thought that this was better than most that i saw. Beowulf for example.... got up and walked out. so not worth the trouble.

circa "School Ties" I'm sure it wouldn't have been that bad, but not now.....with his receding hairline and all.....

Oh, Golden Compass what happened to you? It's like you're the unholy offspring of a LOTR/Harry Potter/Narnia orgy.

When does Juno open?
EditHistoryDelete

In the United States: starting December 14, 2007 (except for Los Angeles and New York, where it opens Dec. 5). See information at the bottom of this answer from one of our more knowledgeable members about why Juno may not be opening in your area on Dec. 14.

** The studio has announced that the movie will open in the following cities on Dec. 14: Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Dallas/Ft. Worth, Philadelphia, San Diego, Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Portland, and Toronto. Other presumably will follow the week after.

**** Additional information about how and when this movie will be opening across the U.S. --

Friday 12/14: Adds 13 cities (total theater count about 40)

Friday 12/21: Adds 17 cities (total theater count about 200)

Tuesday 12/25: Additional expansion to 1000 theaters

Friday 1/4: Nationwide expansion

Fox Searchlight is offering FREE screenings of the movie throughout December. Just visit http://rsvp.foxsearchlight.com/RSVPSyst ... oviesId=55 and RSVP for the one you want and you can get up to 2 tickets to attend. (Free t-shirts are also being given out at most locations. See another question in this FAQ about that.)

I Am Legend comes out tomorrow and AvP-R comes out in less then 2 weeks :D .

Just saw AVP. The action was pretty gnarly, there were minimal CG effects, and tons of references to the other movies, whether the way scenes were shot or the lines used. There are some plot holes, and as an Aliens/Predator nerd I wasn't thrilled with the fact that it was set in present day again. However, I liked it enough that I think I'm going to see it again, this time not sitting 15 feet from the screen for the first half (theater was freakin packed).

Was it awesomely bloody? I hope it was, considering this one was rated R.

I'm going to see Sweeney Todd tonight.

For the gore factor, all I will say is that many lines were crossed. A couple of them I was like "holy shit, did that just happen?"
