why do we have our beds above the ground? save carpet? have a place to hide our contraban? ive been thinking about removing my frame and putting my futon pad on the floor... just wondering

i actually prefer sleeping on the floor with only a comfortor beneath me....but, having a gf does have its drawbacks ; )

i say yes to having your bed on the floor....to me, it contributes to a more chill atmosphere too...

my dosn't have a frame and it's quite nice at that level. falling onto it is more fun, but getting up can be more difficult

The reason is for the ease of getting into it and getting out of it and tempature.

Its colder on the floor.

It is also harder to get in and out of a bed on the floor. For us youngins its not so hard, but as you get older. Yea. No good.

depends on how clean you keep your floor. if you vacuum regularly, then id put a futon on the floor too.

I liked raised beds much better. You know, the kind that sit level with your hips when standing. That's the perfect height for a bed. Too bad my bed sits so low towards the ground.

i like the ground level, but i also like the extra storage space of raised beds.
