7. i dont have anything personnal against any of you guys but think about it , find you a party you can help out with and help grow so it reflects part of who you are and what you are about ........the democrats and republicans are 1 in the same cold machine that is set in its ways and cares nothing about your opinion or what you want

It is interesting you say find a party that is about you. Unfortunately America is a Pepsi-Coke sort of place. In an ideal democracy, more voices would be heard from third party candidates, like the Libertarian you like. However, this country is just not made up this way at the moment. So you work with what you are given. Some third party candidates pop up as kind of a sideshow to the process every now and then, but for the most part it is dominated by the two opposing forces(Democrats and Republicans, or as of late just Republicans).

I think you have some kind of "keeping it real" view of an independent voter. Or as Chris Rock likes to say, real dumb. I am registered independent, but I will vote for who I feel can effect the process the most.

Dean's campaign is primarily built off of small contributions from everyday citizens who want change. It is the most viable alternative to the Republicans I have. It seems like the logical choice for me. Not to mention, Nader is Green party, not independent, and Gary Nolan isn't independent either, he's a Libertarian.

Now, you mentioned the Rave act. If you want to stop that act, then contact those who are writing the legistlation. Find out the lobbyists, join the ACLU, contact senators, and congressmen. You have to work the system, otherwise you go to a different country and live. Do I give a shit if a Republican or Democrat picks up a good independent idea and passes it? Hell no.
