Houston rap legend, Scarface, is back. The rapper is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming album, Made, through Rap-A-Lot Records.
The first street single to leak is the ode to the street code to never snitch called "Neva," while "Love You," featuring Lenny Williams, will be the commercially released single and is one of Face's most mind-blowing tracks to date, says the label -- relying heavily on his well versed lyrics, and uncompromising style.
For Made, Face worked with several producers including Knottz, Mr.Lee, The Drum Squad, and N.O. Joe to name a few.
It was the rapper's release of Mr. Scarface Is Back that launched his solo career from the group Geto Boys in 1991. But, it wasn't until 1994 when Scarface released The Diary that he was first certified platinum. In 2002, Scarface would release his last major album, The Fix, which was praised highly by every major music publication -- The Source even gave the album the coveted five mic classic rating.
Now, as he prepares to return to the seen with Made, Face is ready to prove why he is regarded as one of the greatest MCs to come out of the South and in hip-hop period. And also why he is equally skilled at documenting the inner turmoil, self-doubt and repercussions faced by life in the streets.
From the symphonic, but confrontational song "Get Out My Face" to sultry bedroom jam "Boy Meets Girl," the new album continues his legacy.
Made is slated for release on November 27 through Rap-A-Lot Records/Asylum/Warner Music Group .
