well which one do you think?????????

i think Ghost & Ghouls for tha NES, when you beat tha game its a fake boss and you have to redo tha whole entire game again.........tha 2nd time its even harder plus you cant shoot upwards........ i think tha game was made from hell and was sent to us

Hm. I'll think of one later but for now that game would certainly get a vote from me. I may have my shooters confused but Radiant Silvergun was tough if I remember right.

No shit. Super Monkey Ball Jr. for Gameboy Advance is fuckin hard to0. It pissed me off and I don't play it anymore except for the party games sometimes.

Ghosts 'n Gouls gets my vote. I always got stuck about half way through the second round. Renegade was pretty tough as well but I didn't put nearly as much effort into it.

Speaking of Ghosts 'n Gouls, does anyone remember the sequal to it that came out on Super NES?

Festers Quest was the hardest game I ever played and never even finished.

I JUST GOT SO EXCITED WHEN I READ YOUR REPLY THAT I HAD A TOTAL NERD MOMENT AND GRIPPED THE MONITOR! I THOUGHT NO ONE WOULD KNOW WHAT THE HELL I WAS TALKING ABOUT IF I REPLIED.

i could never get past the second level where you enter the building and you are going down all the black/white hallways. i invested so much time in that game and came back with nothing.

I too know the pain of Fester's Quest.

once you got to the last guy it was almost impossible to beat him...my nintendo suffered many a toss into the wall because of it.....

it still pisses me off to think about it today...almost 12 yrs later

In Rodger Rabbit the only way to beat Judge Doom was to save a whole lot of ammunition to lower his life as much as possible and then power up your punch, hit the run, repeat for an hour or so.

WFRR, Festers Quest, and Marble Madness were all ungodly hard. Spy vs Spy had that trickiness factor to it as well.

Spy Hunter, for that matter, was always a waste of a good quarter.

oh, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1. You got like 4 fuckin turtles to beat this insanely difficult game. Anybody who actually got through that motherfucker without Game Genie deserves a serious pat on the back.

You could get one turtle back in the third level. And if you could get through the stages, some of the bosses were laughably easy to beat if you knew where to stand.

I can't believe no one's mentioned Battletoads. That game was ridiculous. And it wasn't challenging hard, it was I-want-to-take-this-fucking-cartridge-and-shatter-it-against-a-wall hard. TMNT 1 was the same deal but not as bad. Many of those old NES games were so hard because they were rush jobs programmed by two sleep-deprived Japanese guys in a week.

FUCK TMNT1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What you must be referring to is the bastard racing stage that occurred on only the second level!

No fucking joke. Level 3 man. Level 3.

You had to have the eye of the tiger and be in the Matrix to pass that fuckin scooter stage.

Spy Hunter...

I have never seen the end, Anyone that has made it to the end, heard of the end, or anything about any ending of the game.

Marble madness was super easy if you had the NesMAX controller.

:slayer: Rock on snake is the shit, but I must agree Ghouls & Ghost was tough, I never got the ending. Another I thought was kinda hard was Rygar on NES, maybe because I was only 8 or 9. I never beat that game as a kid, I should get the ROM and try it out again.
