I need someone who knows what they're doing to work out with, but not required. hehe

Work out buddies seems like a fun thing to try. :plur:

I went a few times with Brian, that was fun. He made me pump iron. *flex*

I hate doing exercise that's pointless like lifting weights, running, etc

unless you're one of those people that forms habits/rituals (or you find a boring, monotinous task fun) it's really hard to keep up the motivation to make the time every day.

that's why I think playing a sport you find fun is a better way to "work out".

you actually want to do it, so making time for it isn't a problem (in fact it can become a problem making time for other things!).

my personal preferences are jiu-jitsu and mountain biking.

I do do push ups, crunches and leg lifts (as well as stretching) every morning, but that's mostly to benefit me in jiu-jitsu.

that said, jiu-jitsu is a great work out. if you have any interest at all you should check it out. http://graciesa.com the first class is free and if you let me know when you'll be going I'll let you borrow one of my gis (so you don't have to wear one of the loaners that many people have worn and sweated in).

I'm actually going to start taking Tai Chi classes once I can find a good place. But... I don't think that would do much for me physically?

if you're looking for a mental release with some physical benefits yoga would probably be better for you.

seriously though, try jiu-jitsu. it's a good release, will develop you physically and you'll learn how to kick most of your friend's asses (I'm kidding, but not really).

also women tend to be better at jiu-jitsu than men because they are usually more flexible, have better hip movement and since jiu-jitsu is about technique and not strength they don't mess up the technique trying to power through it. also a lot of guys have this preconceived notion they know how to fight and they have to be broken of that (women usually don't).

it's a free class, you've got nothing to lose and I'll even let you choke me.

Krav Maga. The one here in town has some pretty killer cardio and conditioning classes in addition to the actual fighting. Not to mention, the instructor is Satan in carnate.

I went to the one on Nacadoches or something with Brian..

but I think there's one on I-10 closer to me.

I have lost about 5-10 lbs though, trying to watch my soda intake and fast food intake. Plus I actually drink WATER now. *amazing* lol

meet me there Friday @ 5:15 (you have to sign a form and get dressed, class starts at 5:30 ends at 6:30).

I'll bring a gi and a belt, you just need to bring water. wear a tshirt and a supportive top.

don't worry about your pants, wear whatever. you'll change into the gi I bring.

the tshirt is to hide your boobs. guys usually don't wear a shirt under their kimono (that's what the top part of the gi is called), but since girls have boobs they usually wear a tshirt or a rash guard.

i stopped drinking soda (one a week now) and i drink so much water i cant quanitfy it. but i drink a lot of it. i feel tons better. i did it about 6 months ago. that tv show "honey were killing the kids" motivated me.

they weighed out the sugar intake of the kids for a week and it was like in the numerous lbs region. me and my friend tried it with a dr. pepper. there are 54g of sugar in a one liter dp. we took a cup and evened out a scale with the cup on there and poured sugar in until it got to 54g. damn. one dp and the sugar was more than a cup's worth. it was that day i stopped the multiple sodas a day thing.

my workouts are very simple, and target the woman problem areas... all you need is like 20 min a day.. not even once you learn them.

wear whatever you need to to keep your girls contained. loose or tight is up to you. whatever is comfortable and hides your boobs. really if you wanted to you could go shirtless :silly:
