if there was a section, or not even a section, if all genres of music were covered, just imagine how many people would come to this site.

just a thought.

roughly, this board, and the entire website for that matter, is based upon electronic music. while bits and pieces of other genres are scattered amidst the conversations, they shouldn't be.
in my opinion, there shouldn't be such a division of music. it's a form of expression, not a standard of unity. to often clashes are seen between genres, each claiming their own as a better. if this board worked to look past that, and offered a place where all types of music could be shared and discussed, i believe the servers in houston would be sparking a little more brightly. not that this site doesn't get it's fair share of hits already, but it would most definately be an overwhelming amount.
so what am i saying?
am i saying that there should be sub-pages of each genre?
absolutely not.
i'm saying that all these advertisements, radios, promotions, and special offers should include every type of music we know.

in order for there to be promotions for all types of music there has to be something to promote. and in order to have something to promote, you need an audience. maybe the lack of ads, radios, promotions and special offers for certain types of music is because there isn't a large enough audience for the person making the ads, doing the promotions etc. to give a damn.

there wont be huge banner ads across the site saying "huge gabber party" and such, because there isn't a large enough audience for it. not only on the site, but i doubt there is a large enough audience to have a party with only gabber, hardcore etc...

I know what your saying. Im already turning a rave site into more of 75% to selection of texas music culture.

kinda funny how this pops up when we just started last month on making the site.

yes emo does suck my nuts on a daily basis

and yea, this site was created for the purpose of promoting electronic music. BUT, whose to say that there isn't a MUCH larger audience out there jut waiting for something of the sort i described.
granted there might not be the audience for such types of promotions right now, but if it was worked toward, i think the audience would become larger than expected.
i'm not saying let's all drop our hats and make this that kind of place right now. it's an idea that shouldn't be cast off so easily like you guys are doing, but thought about and worked through to become something that would absolutely change the face of all music cultures.
all music is the same.
it's all expression.
shouldn't that be known?

what makes TexasBeatz special is that it is for Texas and it is for electronic music in Texas. I find it better to be the best Texas electronica and culture site than a barely par conglomerate one.

if we let all these noobs in with other intrests... well can you imagine the flaming that will result!?!?! This would become drama central. I mean this site is the best electronic site in texas and i would go as far to say in the USA, based on what i have seen of other states sites and rave sites. I ask why ruin a good thing? We are promoting this sound as the future of music, we don't need to get side tracked and promote stuff that already has thier own sites. They haven't invited us... so why should we invite them?

thier are enough emo lovers on this board already!!! Why the fuck should we invite more!?!? fuckin wankers....

I think it is the warranted response though. Were you talking about rock as another possible form of music?

i listen to all types of music also... to be more specific on a genre i like i am a huge fan of metal, mostly grindcore. So i am not what you would call closed minded. This site was founded on electronic music and it just so happens to be the best site in the genre IMO. i just think that this site would loose alot of its key members if it were to open up too a bigger community. When i say key members i mean those of us who have been here for years and have become a tightly knit group of friends... this site would probably get overrun my a bunch of fuckin idiot 13 year olds talking about blink 182 or Brittney Spears. if they want that they can go to MTV.com...
