why are these genres lagging in texas? are there any good nights in austin? I went to the sunday nights at la privalege awhile back, but haven't been recently.

To answer your questions, I dont really know why these Genre's are lagging in Austin other than I think its just kind of an older sounding style....(I dont know ish about Techno, really so speaking on electro here)...shit we dont even have a breakbeat night around Austin for that matter an electro or Techno night-

Cool Magenta! You know whats up. People know electro by a couple different sub genres. But the moste recent up to date one is the Punk,newwave, techno, breakbeat kind of stuff. Idon't hear it at all here in austin. By the way magenta, where are you getting your records.. because i haven't found a store that has a good techno/electro record section. The buyers here suck.

I just bought a whole bunch of electro and techno.. i wish i could play it for someone.

sundays @ le priv are as close as you're going to get in austin... there's a techno weekly in houston (axis), and nothing in dallas... i've been wanting to organize a techno night here in austin, not an easy thing to do in a house-dominated town...

we've got Marco Carola coming to play at Element on Oct. 11th, hopefully that will exposure people to the music a bit more... not enough people have heard enough of the 'good shit' to know better..

i don't like that electroclash name. people always have to come out with more sub-sub genre names to confuse people. I think electro as a sub genre is pretty diverse. you can go from a punk song to a an old breakdance type of song in the same mix.
