Wednesday, November 2nd marks a new day in an exciting era for personal media production and independent distribution.

ACTLab New Media dept. University of Texas has always been about "making stuff" in a community of production-oriented studies where we encourage everyone to make whatever they love. Movies, music, pictures, performances, art of every kind and size is always on display during the ACTLab courses at the university.

The Foundation for Decentralization Research sponsored a project this summer that allowed us within ACTLab at the University of Texas at Austin to thrust our own productions into the spotlight around the world. Alluvium software uses a distributed streaming model that is similar to Bit Torrent. It allows for a limitless # of users to watch a live video broadcast on the internet because the transfer load is spread out between a vast # of users. We have received lots of exposure on the internet already and we expect a great deal more when our full-screen 24/7 TV services launches online. You can read about us at:
