This is a free country but not a free site. This site costs money and trolls prevent new members from joining and cause older members to leave. The more members, the more hits, the more the costs of running the site are replaced.

Who the hell gave you the impression this site was about freedom? I don't want freedom for idiots. There's a reason the mods can lock, delete, etc etc as long as they do so within reason. If a person is trolling this board that means they are interrupting WITH A DAILY SCHEDULE OF MINDLESS NUMBING that I need to get through my day at the office making a boring website for a boring company. I don't want to see the same person posting five hundred times a day with inane crap meant to aggravate my internet experience which, by nature, should be moderately less aggravating that my real life.

Personally, I think the dynamic of differing opinions colliding is what makes this fun. Sure, sometimes it can get silly, but who cares? I've seen mods lock threads, but never without reason. Banning people? If they're using the board to network for/distribute kiddie porn, or something else that could fuck the board on a legal level, sure. Otherwise, if you don't agree with somethiing, either ignore it or respond to it!
