GlobalBeatz.net Rules ( in addition to the ones outlined on signup: http://messageboard.globalbeatz.net/pro ... e=register )

These are general rules for our members to keep in consideration when interacting with other members on the board. This will be updated as rules change etc, so please check back with this post every couple of weeks. These rules will be strictly enforced, but we will treat each situation on an individual basis. The last two sections (Etiquette and Suggestions) of rules are suggestions, as noted, and not necessarily rules. The nature of members on this site may be new to many of you, so new members should strongly consider following these suggestions until they are more comfortable with the community and how it works.

We try very hard to make this community as great as possible for everyone, so if you have any suggestions, we have created a forum for the discussion of suggestions you may have.

General Member Rules:
- Any material that may not be work or school appropriate, must be noted as such, if you aren't sure, play it safe, and make note that it may not be appropriate.
- Posts about illegal drugs should be made in the Harm Reduction forum. This forum is ONLY for the discussion of the drugs. Do not brag about your drug use anywhere. If you do, expect to get flamed for it. Do not ask for drugs either. That's just dumb, and can result in you being banned.

Moderator Rules:
- Moderators work very hard to maintain the integrity of this messageboard, and are treated just as any other member of the board when making posts. Should you believe a moderator to be abusing their powers (ie: taking advantage of something that a regular member cannot do), please inform Ben Wills, or andrew davidoff by Private Message or email. PLEASE remember that just because a moderator posts something that you don't agree with, or may be taken as attacking, that they are members of this site as well and are able to present their opinions just as any other member.

Event Post Rules:
- Event posts are to be posted in the events forum. In the past, event postings were allowed in General Discussion. This is no longer the case. ANY AND ALL event related posts, OTHER than new pictures must be posted in the event forum. This includes music concerts/events, house parties, club events, raves etc. "Meetups" do not fall into this category.
- One event post leading up to the event is allowed in the Events forum and in the forum of the nearest city. If you wish to get feedback on your event, or if members would like to talk about the event afterwards, there will be ONE post allowed in the event forum afterwards. Excessive posting may result in your posts being deleted or closed.
- RECOMMENDED event subject lines: City, Date, Event Name, Headliner(s) Posting this way allows for the best way of presenting information about your events and is easier for members to find events they are interested in.
- If you wish to advertise via banners on our site, please refer to http://www.globalbeatz.net/advertising Advertising your event on GlobalBeatz.net via banners allows for one post in general discussion for your event, and one after your event.

- We keep the site as a whole very relaxed, but posts requesting or offering warez, serial numbers, cracks, or bootlegs of any kind of software will not be tolerated.

Etiquette (these are merely suggestions, not rules):
- Please do not type in all caps. That is annoying, and people will not take you seriously. Expect to get flamed for it.
- Please, show some respect for others.

- As with the tech forum, we keep the site as a whole very relaxed, but posts requesting or offering warez, serial numbers, cracks, or bootlegs of any kind of software will not be tolerated. ADDITIONALLY, this includes talking about trading mp3s that are not part of this site etc.

Suggestions:
- Take offensive remarks with a grain of salt. Most people would not say the things they say in person.
- Refrain from drama. This is a public messageboard. Private matters should not be discussed here. Should you lack the balls, proximity, or telephone to discuss the matter in person, there is a private messaging feature available to all users.
