Wow. Northridge. Been four years since I've taken a class there...

...maybe I should take a class when I finish paying off the motherfucking IRS. My work has comp-pay. :nerdl:

I've only taken classes at RGC. I like that it's an old building. I hear it used to be a high school.

I'm only in my third semester so I have a looong ways to go.

And don't buy your books at Bevo's. They gave me the wrong book for Psychology. I wouldn't have cared but they caused me a lot grief when they wouldn't do an even exchange on their mistake. I found the receipt but it was a pain in the ass. When I exchanged my book last night, I needed an APA book as well, and the guy tried to sell me ANOTHER wrong book. All I can say is hold on to those receipts and check with your teachers. Also, the same book was $7 cheaper at ACC Book Store. Bevo's is a rip. :finger:

Yah fuck Bevo's. I either buy my books from Half Price or if I'm desperate the ACC book store.

I've been to the Rio Grand Campus. It wasn't a bad building but omg the parking blows ass. I thought Pinnical was bad until I went there. Speaking of which I got a class at Pinnical at 5:40.

My classes at North Ridge are 2D animation and 3D Preproduction. Both these classes rock!

Nice. I'm taking College Alg., Psych and Comp II. I wish I could take fun classes like Lit or Art. But I make myself feel better by saying a class will just ruin it for me.

If you take a class that's a subject you enjoy, the class can ruin the enjoyment you receive because you will be examining it too closely. When I watch a film or read a book I want to enjoy it, I don't want to worry about writing a paper or taking a test on it. And that's what I tell myself to make myself feel better about missing out on all the 'fun' classes.

To heck with that. I took all the art classes I possibly could. There are a lot of things I enjoy but never really do because I don't have the time to. If I'm taking a class on it, I'm forced to participate. Which, I'm ok with because I love said subject. I did this with art and literature. I can't stand math due to how it is taught 80% of the time. I'm fairly awesome at math and science, but hate taking the classes. Not a big fan of rehashing the same fuckin' information with no real-world application value. So I took Statistics  . Then there are other courses that present more information I'm highly interested in (ie. Nutrition), but when I take the class I ended up hating the egotistical, opinionated and arrogant feminist teacher. Man, she was a bitch.

I would love to take every art and lit class available. But since the educational system is so cheap, degree plans have become more specific. If I take art classes I would just be wasting money and time. I figure if I'm going to school I mind as well get a degree in something that will be useful, like nursing or teaching, and learn about art and lit on my own time. I hate to say it because I believe people should pursue what they love regardless of pay and job availability, but when the government will only pay so much for school your priorities change I guess.

As for mathematics, I like it as long as I'm good at it. I get really frustrated when I can't find my mistakes. I figure I'll go as far as I can with it. I haven't take any science yet. I have mental blocks with word problems. So much for being a physics major.

Out of all the mathematic courses, Algebra was my favorite. I don't know why but I was a wiz at it.

Next semester I should have my Associates in Visual Communications. I'm so excited.

I took environmental geology at this campus and had an amazing professor.

But I can't remember his name, so maybe not that amazing.
But good. :D

Have you looked at the geology degree plan? It looks pretty rough: Engineering physics I & II and Calc. I-III. 8O I don't wanna like geology.

Yeah, I got a degree in RTF, so geology was for one of my science core credits because I loathe science,

Yay for RTF :D

My degree is an Associates of Applied Science in 3D animation and graphic design. Now I work for a multimillion dollar company as a graphic designer and desktop publisher. I get paid to be on Photoshop, Indesign, and Illustrator all day! Sweet!
